Sue's Elephant Tiara
They were getting married on elephant appreciation
day and wanted a custom tiara to celebrate the day...
Inspiration often strikes in the most unlikely
places.  I realized that the Animal Planet logo
was going to be the perfect model.  I
immediately began designing.  Below, you
will see my drawing that was sent to Sue for
approval.
We decided on a large cabochon
amethyst for the center stone and
3mm faceted amethysts for the eyes
of the elephants.  The hammered
texture for the tiara was to compliment
a ring Sue had previously purchased.
"I wanted to send you a letter of appreciation and thanks for the wonderful job that you did on my tiara.  We’ve
found that when you first tell someone that your wedding has an elephant theme they normally give you a puzzled
look.  You, on the other hand, just moments after meeting us, seemed to instantly understand the link to nature and
the love of animals that we wanted to include in our special day.  While planning our wedding it’s quite a challenge to
find people who really want to help make the day special for us, not just profitable for them.  You, however, had the
same excitement and vision we had for our wedding and never pushed our budget.  It was great to work with
someone who just seemed to have fun at their craft and who enjoyed the challenge presented.  You were great at
keeping us up to date with your progress and were always quick to respond to any questions that we had.  Your
professionalism and creativity let me know from the start that we were in good hands and this was one of the few
wedding details that I didn’t need to worry about.  I’m still amazed how close the original drawing and the finished
product turned out.  You created a one of a kind, eye catching piece that will be the talk wedding and something that
we will cherish for generations to come.  It was great working with you and I would highly recommend you to anyone!"
